 Children & Youth

Jesus said, "Let the little children come to me, and do not stop them; for it is to such as these that the kingdom of heaven belongs." – Matthew 19:14

At Highland, children can wonder, worship and grow with God.  Sunday school teachers, VBS leaders, the folks with whom we worship--all are working together to help your child know God’s love.

Hide God’s Word in your heart and you will always have it with you!

We have selected 10 Bible verses for this summer’s memory challenge. The challenge for kids in grades 2-5 is to memorize all ten verses! The challenge for younger children is to memorize three of the verses.

Take-out Church

"Take-out Church" activity boxes are for families to take with them as they travel this summer.  The box itself is small enough to fit under a car seat, but it is filled with fun activities designed to help your child learn and remember that God is with us everywhere we go.  The boxes will be available at the reception desk starting on June 4.

Linked Together

Summer Reading Program - July 2017
Highland's Library Staff invites you to our 2017 summer reading program, "Linked Together." Let's see how long a paper chain we can make in the library with each link representing one book read. This is all you need to do:

  1. Read books from our library
  2. Select one color of paper to use for all your links.
  3. Write your first and last name, age, and email on the color chart next to your choice.
  4. Write the title to books you read during July on a link and attach it to the chain.
  5. Win a Goodberry's coupon if you:  A) are 3-5 years old and listen to or read 15 books, B) are 6-8 years old and read 10 books; C) are 9-11 years old and read 5 books

Program ends on July 31. Happy Reading!!!!
